Thank you 2018!

Hey everyone!

We’ve made it through another amazing year of 2018, and I’d like to express my deepest appreciation to all you familiar faces and new faces for your generous and relentless support all this time. It’s been especially heartwarming to hear from old friends returning to celebrate with more yacht parties and becoming a part of our vibrant Friends of Ximula Sail community, we’re really touched to know that we’re in your fond memories!

As I reflect on this past year, it has been a real high after high:

  • We launched our fortnightly Friends of Ximula Sail Open Sunset Cruise in January, and hosted a total of 21 sessions and more than a hundred Friends, with the support of our partners & sponsors: Yachtly, iBrew, Catersmith, Orange Lantern, Kim’s Place Seafood and Tuk Kwan Kitchen.

  • We held a very special Valentine’s Day celebration hosted by our celebrity captain, Darren Lim, and his daughter, Kristen, where 5 pairs of daddies brought their teenage daughters out for their very first date.

  • We were invited to be one of the representing yachts of ONE15 Luxury Yachting’s charter fleet in the Singapore Yacht Show 2018, and spent 4 intense days sharing our passion with visitors from all over the world.

  • We set sail on 2 epic sailing adventures: Our epic 10-day Tambelan & Badas Islands expedition brought us to uncharted azure blue waters of 20metres underwater visibility, where we swam amongst colourful corals and tropical fishes, and our short 4-day Pemanggil & Sibu Islands adventure rejuvenated our souls with the calmest seas and the most tranquil islands.

  • We caught up with our corporate clients over a Client Appreciation Night in collaboration with Kitchen Language Catering, Geonbae Korean Wine, and our partner yacht, Primetime.

  • And of course, not forgetting our daily bread and butter - the thousands of amazing charter guests we’ve hosted on board our 2 sailing catamarans, Ximula and Gracefully, and other partner yachts - you guys are the reason why we’re here!

We would not have surfed these high tides without all of you.

It is you, who have made our work lives out at sea so much more colourful, so much more exciting, and so much more fulfilling.

While we stay anchored by our commitment to delivering the best experiences for every single guest on board, we also look forward to setting sail into 2019 with you:

What you can expect in 2019:

1) Open sunset cruise every week!

Yes, you heard it right! We’re going to be hosting our Friends of Ximula Sail Open Sunset Cruise every Tuesday in 2019 (except some Public Holidays and Tuesdays when we’ll be away on sailing trips), starting on New Year’s Day 1 Jan 2019! Join us here.

We'll also be inviting special guests/sponsors each month to spice up the session, whether it's delicious food, wine appreciation, live entertainment, or industry experts to share some tips with everyone - so follow us on our Facebook Page for more updates!

2) MORE epic sailing adventures!

What keeps our passion alive is being able to sail where the wind takes us and exploring new breathtaking destinations, so how can we not plan more sailing adventures? We’d love for more people to join us, whether you’re a sailor or non-sailor. We’ve got 4 amazing open trips lined up this coming year:

3) Adopting New Hope Community Services

Giving back has always been at the back of our minds, so when we first met Pastor Andrew on one of our sunset cruises and heard his story of how he built New Hope to provide temporary shelters for the homeless - an often neglected community in Singapore - regardless of race and religion, we were inspired to partner with this amazing organization. We will be sharing more details about our initiatives very soon, and we hope you’ll extend your kind support.

Thank you all for being a part of this Ximula Sail family, you mean a lot to us and we can’t wait to inspire more happy sailors in all of you!

Happy 2019, and may you have a smooth-sailing year ahead.

From the depths of our hearts,
Minqi W., founder of Ximula Sail
