Appointed as a Marine Park in 1994 and a National Park in 2003, Pulau Aur is a small and pristine island which boasts of numerous unique sea creatures and coral reefs. It is a top-rated destination frequented by many scuba divers from all over the world, until the Malaysian government had to close the island for a few years to restore its coral reefs.
