Among the most popular islands out of 64 islands on the eastern coast of Peninsular Malaysia, Pulau Tioman & Aur are especially well-known as a diving and snorkeling paradise due to their rich marine life, pristine waters and scenic landscapes fringed with lush tropical rainforests.
Other than being voted by Time magazine as one of the 10 most beautiful islands in the world, Pulau Tioman also boasts of a tranquil and relaxed atmosphere, with friendly and hospitable locals who are used to serving travelers from all over the world, especially many Singaporeans who flock to Pulau Tioman to complete their PADI Open Water Dive Course due to its close proximity, low fees to obtain the license and its beautiful underwater life.
Appointed as a Marine Park in 1994 and a National Park in 2003, Pulau Aur is a small and pristine island which boasts of numerous unique sea creatures and coral reefs. It is a top-rated destination frequented by many scuba divers from all over the world, until the Malaysian government had to close the island for a few years to restore its coral reefs. Now that the island has recently reopened, we look forward to revisiting its beauty.
