Located 180 nautical miles northeast from Singapore, the Anambas Islands is a secluded archipelago of pristine islands part of the Riau Province of Indonesia, or what we like to describe as paradise. Not easily accessible to most tourists, the Anambas Islands is considered one of the most highly rated destinations for experienced sailors all over the world.
Facing the wide open ocean, the 255 islets in the Anambas cluster seem to emerge from the sea out of nowhere, providing a panoramic view of blue seas and lush green islands speckled with azure lagoons. Under water, colourful coral reefs and a variety of marine life greet snorkelers and divers.
Here’s what we can look forward tot:
30 hours of sailing without any stopovers (i.e. sailing in azure blue waters amidst an unhindered view of a night sky full of stars)
Possible sightings of dolphins during the journey
Plenty of snorkeling and diving spots - besides coral reefs, we can also discover clownfish, zebrafish, the endangered Napoleon wrasse, turtles, and black tip sharks.
Island hopping - walking on powder soft sand and trekking up rock outcrops for scenic views of the far-reaching sea with multiple shades of blue
