Competent Charter Crew (CCC) Training Program 2023

HEY EVERYONE!

Designed for anyone who is keen to join the yacht charter industry, our Competent Charter Crew (CCC) Training Program will cover everything you need to know about becoming a yacht charter crew, and prepare you with the right skills, mindset and knowledge to be a part of this ever-growing industry. We are launching our next run in May 2023, read on to find out more.

If you have been following, you’d know that we ran a trial of this program in April 2022!

We received applications from individuals from all walks of life - some are fresh out of school, some are considering a mid-career switch, some are freelancing in various jobs, while some are working in a related industry and wants to find out more about ours. We shortlisted 5 individuals to participate in our trial run, check out some of the photos and what they have to say:

Hezekiah

- Graduate of CCC (Apr-2022), Hired as our full-time crew

“I was introduced to this course by one of my cyclist friends (from Break the Cycle), James (who runs The Yacht Club, one of our partners). During that time, I was looking around for a job, so this came as an opportunity for me to start something new.

The course has greatly exceeded my expectations. The trainers, Darren and Faris, spoke about each topic with great detail, and you can easily tell how passionate they are about the sea, and for their jobs. Now that I am part of the team, I can tell you first hand that the course is a close representation of the job and what it entails. The skills that I have acquired during the course, from the hard skills (assisting the captain, yacht maintenance) to the soft skills (hosting clients), I still apply them day to day on the job.

I’m glad that I was one of the shortlisted individuals that was enrolled into the course. It’s not everyday that you can get a “preview” to a job that you are hoping to get into!”

Felix

- Trainee of CCC (Apr-2022)

“I’m sure I speak on behalf of all the students who also attended this course, that we have gained valuable insight. The course was meticulously well planned and lessons are conducted in a professional manner. Mr Darren Lim and his team has exceeded all my expectations. Despite being a free course, Ximula Sail did not compromise on quality. There were focus group discussions, on the job observations and actual job KPI reviews.

The course was focused on practical situations, it was very informative and extremely helpful for a aspiring Yacht crew such as myself. My knowledge has gained by heaps and bounds thanks to Ximula. I feel confident, competent and better prepared to deal with different scenarios out at sea.

I would take this chance to to recommend Ximula’s course to all who read this.”
